We are excited to offer laser therapy as a new option for a wide variety of painful conditions in dogs and cats. Laser therapy is a non-invasive treatment that our veterinarians will usually prescribe as an addition to medications or other therapies. Laser therapy is completed in our office as a one-time treatment or an ongoing therapy. Each session lasts 1-10 minutes, depending on the reason for treatment. While the treatment is being completed your pet will wear goggles to protect the eyes from the laser. However, laser is beneficial to the rest of the body. A slight warming effect from the laser can be a bit calming to your pet, but it has even better benefits below the skin: Wound and joint, muscle regeneration, and pain control. A huge variety of pain-inducing conditions can respond to laser therapy: Arthritis, surgical incisions, dental disease, urinary tract conditions, deep skin infections, ear infections, muscle strains and sprains and more!
